Q²M Compound+ is used when: scratches are still palpable with a fingernail (medium to deep scratches), the paint is heavily oxidized and dull, the paint is very hard and does not react to Q²M Compound (Medium Cut), or when poor quality pre-polishing (holograms from incorrect machine handling) needs to be removed. The decision for Compound+ should always be checked on a test spot – if Medium Cut is sufficient, Compound+ is not necessary. The use of Compound+ usually leaves holograms that must be removed with a finishing polish.

Q²M Compound+ on different machine types

Q²M Compound+ can be used on both rotary and eccentric machines. On a rotary machine with a lambswool pad (Q²M Rotary Wool Heavy Cut), Compound+ achieves the highest correction performance – ideal for extreme defects or very hard paints.
